There are different circumstances that warrant or require certified sampling to be done.

• As part of the Moisture Management Survey outlined above
• Mold sampling is recommended anytime there has been a moisture or water intrusion inside the home or if it is suspected or implicated in home or workplace health conditions
• Recommended as part of the pre-remediation process to determine scope and infestation (if any) of the property.  It often serves to reduce remediation efforts and expense.
• Post-remediation verification (PRV) sampling documents the success of the remediation efforts and allows a transferable warranty to be issued in most cases.
• Pre-sampling AND PRV sampling may be required as part of CEPro's remediation warranty.

Mold samples may be of several different types.  Each one is selected for its application to the suspected issue:

• Air Samples--taken to determine spore counts, species, migration and distribution in the indoor living or work space air.
• Surface samples-two types are used:  tape lift samples or swab samples are used to sample microbial-like substances observed indoors.
• Bulk samples--small samples of actual building or other materials that appear to have microbial-like substances on their surfaces.
