1. Is it Safe?  Many companies would like to have you believe they are safe, citing their products as "EPA Approved or Listed".  The EPA ONLY accepts registration (approval) for those products or chemicals that are deemed toxic. 2. Is it Effective?  Many products used by traditional remediators or sold to the public claim to kill and seal off mold from growing.  Experience is proving they just are not completely effective.   Mold killing surface chemicals (as we learned above) are toxic and they do nothing for killing mold that is buried in porous surfaces.  They leave behind dead spore skeletons (or sometimes do not even penetrate the spore to kill it) which are known allergens and a threat to our health.  Any pin-sized hole or other unintentional penetration to surface sealers will let spores leak out and soon gain population and recreate the original problem.
